Being vulnerable … what a fear! What a nuisance and pain to feel weak, … vulnerable.
And what to do when we feel like this? perhaps a useful first thing to do would be to review our personal concept of strength and weakness.
It seems obvious for each of us what strength is and what weakness is, but it is not so.
I have noticed that often, all of us, in one way or another, believe and choose as “strength” something that is not really strength, even if it seems to us so and at the moment we feel strong, with “power”. In those cases, in order not to feel vulnerable, we attach ourselves to a force that seems real to us, which in our opinion will protect us from all pain, disappointment and unexpected, and which will make us feel strong, safe, away from any difficult and tiring situation …
